Metal Bar Gratings

Optical Grating Bridge

Optical Grating Bridge has been main candidate for industrial floor market whether for the plant flooring or equipment flooring. With high strength-to-weight ratio and recyclability, bar gratings can meet almost any configuration. Compared with solid metal plates or other plates, open area makes bar grating need less or no maintenance. In addition, opening area allows for pass of small debris like leaves.

Optical Grating Bridge:

  • Mild carbon steel
Steel grating is the most popular choice for many grating applications. It is often hot-dip galvanized or PVC coated to extend service life.
  • Aluminum
Aluminum grating has unexpected strength-to-weight ratio. In addition, it is suitable for harsh environments like wet and corrosive.
  • Stainless steel
Stainless steel grating is the prior choice for food processing factories which needs high sanitarian requirements.

  • Diffraction grating - Wikipedia
In optics, a diffraction grating is an optical component with a periodic structure that splits and diffracts light into several beams travelling in different directions. The emerging coloration is a form of structural coloration. The directions of these beams depend on the spacing of the grating and the wavelength of the light so that the grating acts as the dispersive element.

  • Fiber Bragg grating - Wikipedia
A fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is a type of distributed Bragg reflector constructed in a short segment of optical fiber that reflects particular wavelengths of light and transmits all others. This is achieved by creating a periodic variation in the refractive index of the fiber core, which generates a wavelength-specific dielectric fiber Bragg grating can therefore be used as an inline
  • Grating - Wikipedia
Grating elements can have luminances other than that of sharp-edged bars. If the graph of a grating is sinusoidal (see top panel in the illustration), the grating looks like a set of blurry light and dark bars and it is called a sine-wave grating. Sine-wave gratings are used extensively in optics to determine the transfer functions of lenses. A

  • What is a Fiber Bragg Grating? | FBG | Sensors | HBM
As a resonant structure, the FBG will act as a wavelength selective mirror; it is a narrow band filter. This means that if light from a broadband source is injected in the optical fiber, only light within a very narrow spectral width centered at the Bragg wavelength will be back-reflected by the grating.
