Welded Grating Standards

Welded Grating Standards has been main candidate for industrial floor market whether for the plant flooring or equipment flooring. With high strength-to-weight ratio and recyclability, bar gratings can meet almost any configuration. Compared with solid metal plates or other plates, open area makes bar grating need less or no maintenance. In addition, opening area allows for pass of small debris like leaves.

Welded Grating Standards:

  • Mild carbon steel
Steel grating is the most popular choice for many grating applications. It is often hot-dip galvanized or PVC coated to extend service life.
  • Aluminum
Aluminum grating has unexpected strength-to-weight ratio. In addition, it is suitable for harsh environments like wet and corrosive.
  • Stainless steel
Stainless steel grating is the prior choice for food processing factories which needs high sanitarian requirements.

  • Bar Grating Welding Standards - Marco Specialty Steel
Load carrying end band to be welded with fillet weld the size of bearing bar thickness (t) and the length of bearing bar depth (d) at each bearing bar. This spec is for standard grating. Refer to NAAMM MBG 532 for Heavy-Duty spec. Download Welding Standards PDF
  • Standard Welded Steel Bar Grating
Standard panels are available in widths of 2', 3' or 4'. Welded steel bar grating is resistance welded to create a rugged, one-piece constructed panel. The bearing bars are automatically resistance welded at the contact point with the cross bars and, under a combination of high heat and pressure, are fused together to form a permanent joint.
  • Welded Steel Bar Grating - Robertson Grating Products
Welded Steel Bar Grating is the most popular of all grating types due to its strength, cost-efficient production and ease of installation. Universally used in most general industrial plants as well as commercial buildings, it has wide applications as walkways, platforms, safety barriers, drainage covers and ventilation grates.
  • Amico Industrial Products - Welded Bar Grating
Welded steel bar grating is the most popular of all grating types due to its strength, cost-efficient production and ease of installation. Welded bar grating is resistance welded to create a rugged, one-piece constructed panel. Standard panels are 2′, 3′ or 4′ wide by 20′ or 24′ long.
  • Forge-welded gratings - Lichtgitter
Stair treads of forge-welded gratings are manufactured in accordance with DIN 24531-1 or based on this standard. They consist of a specially shaped and perforated nosing, a tread made of forge-welded gratings and perforated side panels. All stair treads are welded in special plants using the MAG process.
  • Press-welded gratings | GEI -
Press-welded grating is obtained by electrical welded transverse bars, which are usually square and twisted (but can be round and straight) into the bearing bars. The grating is produced with “flat” banding, and then optionally undergoes hot-dip galvanizing in accordance with the applicable EN ISO 1461 standards.
